Dr. Farberow completed his undergraduate work in 1972 at the University of California, Los Angeles. His optometric education was completed in 1980 at the Illinois College of Optometry. He has been in private practice since 1980 in Santa Cruz. Dr. Farberow has been a member of the American and California Optometric associations and has served as president of the local optometric society. He is long time member of the Lions Club, and more recently the Doran Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He will be vice president of the Doran Center for the year 2000-2001.

Undergraduate work completed in 1977 at the University of California, Riverside. Optometric education completed in 1982 at the University of California, Berkeley. Private practice since 1982. Dr. Simmons is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. He spent several years as the staff optometrist at the Doran Resource Center for the Blind. He is has served on the board of directors of the Santa Cruz Kiwanis Club and Shakespeare Santa Cruz.
