Dr. Fred Slater, OptometristDr. Fred Slater has been in private practive for over 35 years. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and biology. He earned his doctor's degree in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. Prior to starting his private practice, he served as an Optometrist in the United States Air Force with the rank of Captain at Beale Air Force Base. Dr. Slater's special Optometric interests include fitting contact lenses, co-managing lasik patients, and treating ocular infections and diseases. His other interest are traveling, playing handball, and skiing. He especially enjoys being with his family that includes his wife, his three sons, his two grand children, and their loving cavalier spaniel, Bella. Dr. Slater is dedicated and committed to providing the highest level of service and utmost quality of vision care for his patients.
Dr. J. Craig Dally, OptometristDr. J. Craig Dally has been associated with our practice since 1981. He is a graduate of Ohio State University and a member of The American Optometric Association and The Santa Clara County Optometric Society. Craig is married with four children (and two dogs)!
Dr. Hung Mac, OptometristDr. Hung D. Mac attended San Jose State University; where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Biochemistry, and went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. He received Cum Laude honors at both institutions. Dr. Mac then completed a prestigious Residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the Southern California College of Optometry, which involved specialty contact lens fitting and management of complex cases, including keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, corneal refractive therapy (CRT), pediatrics and ocular prosthetics. During his residency, Dr. Mac thoroughly enjoyed serving also as a clinical instructor to the optometric interns. His clinical experience, as well as the patients he cared for, has inspired him to continue corneal management and specialty contact lens fitting. During his free time, Dr. Mac enjoys traveling and spending time with family. His internships and medical mission trips have brought him to El Salvador, Salt Lake City and into a rural Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona. He plans to continue participating in medical mission trips to South Africa and his birth country, Vietnam. Dr. Mac is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Santa Clara County Optometric Society, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Fraternity
Dr. Betty Chun, OptometristDr. Betty Chun received her bachelor's degree from University of California, Los Angeles and her doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. She also completed a residency program at VA Palo Alto. Dr. Chun is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Santa Clara County Optometric Society. She is proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese, and clinical Spanish. Dr. Chun believes that patient education is an integral part of doctor and patient interaction. As each individual learns more about their eye conditions, the better each person can take care of their eyes. |
