Steve Baker, President, Eyefinity

Steve Baker, president, oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, including business growth, strategic planning, and product development.

Prior to 2000, Steve managed a team of technology experts within GTECH Corporation, a global high-tech firm, commanding a 70% market share in its industry. His responsibilities included defining and overseeing the development of cutting-edge products to bring rapid industry growth. In addition, he leveraged emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitive position in the marketplace.

Previously, Steve served as a senior developer and software team leader at a think-tank company, specializing in rapid prototyping of unique solutions, which consistently featured new and emerging technologies in customer solutions and ergonomic design. During his time there, the company grew from $3M to $120M in 5 years.

Steve holds a bachelor of science in computer science from California State University, Northridge, with a concentration in systems design and mathematics.

Steve enjoys most anything outdoors and is an avid cycling fan.


Charlie Biegel, Chief Operations Officer

Prior to joining Eyefinity, Charlie was vice president of engineering at AOL, where he was responsible for the product engineering of the AOL Mail, Address Book, and Calendar product lines. These multitenant, cloud products served a monthly audience of 25 million unique visitors with an average of 4 billion page views. Prior to AOL, Charlie was director of enterprise systems at Motient and held several engineering positions Motient, Pulsecom, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Charlie earned an MS in software systems engineering from George Mason University and a BS in computer science from Siena College. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, running, playing tennis, and volunteering.


Masoud Nafey, OD, FAAO, Vice President of Professional Relations

Masoud Nafey, OD, FAAO is an optometrist who has practiced in multiple platforms, from corporate optometry to private practice, and has worked alongside his peers as a business management consultant.

He currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Relations at Eyefinity and the only doctor on staff for all of VSP Global, where his focus is to help his fellow colleagues with their practices, business management, and patient workflow. In addition, he helps Eyefinity better understand what doctors and their staff look for in practice management platforms.

He has written numerous manuals and blogs regarding efficient patient care for optometrists and their office staff. He earned his undergraduate degree at UC Davis, his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, and is currently working on his MBA on Healthcare Administration at University of Massachusetts Amherst.


Jeff Lombardi, Vice President, Customer Care

Jeff Lombardi, vice president, customer care, has been with Eyefinity since 2010. He is responsible for leading the Eyefinity customer care team, which includes training, education, and customer support.

Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in software customer support with companies in the telecommunications, finance, and healthcare industries. He has led teams at Agilent and Intuit to support customers on a corporate and individual basis, as well as at the international and national levels. Jeff attributes his success to his dedication to improving the customer experience.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, cycling on all the wonderful trails in the Sacramento area, and spending time with his family.


Troy Eberlein, Senior Vice President, Product Management

As senior vice president of product management, Troy is responsible for the strategy, planning, and management of Eyefinity products.

Troy brings 14 years of software product management experience at various Silicon Valley companies. Most recently, Troy was director of product management at NetApp, a Fortune 500 company, where he was responsible for multiple software product lines that drove $1B of the company’s revenue. Prior to NetApp, Troy led product management functions at Topio, Candera, and Legato Software, and started his career at Accenture performing both technical and management consulting.

Troy holds an MBA from the University of California, Davis, where he was the class valedictorian and graduated with honors, and holds a master of engineering in aeronautical science, also from the University of California, Davis. He enjoys spending time with his family biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, and anything else outdoors.


Candice Davis, Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management/Professional Services

Candice is responsible for managing Eyefinity’s back-office revenue cycle management and software solutions implementation divisions. She brings 15 years of experience in healthcare management, managing and scaling business process, and strategic planning. Candice joined Eyefinity in December 2013 from Doctors Vision Center®, OD PA, an optometric/ophthalmologic managed service organization in the Southeast. She held the positions of Director of Information Technology, Director of Information Systems Support, and Practice Management Consultant. Candice graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration and B.S. in Accounting from North Carolina Wesleyan College. She is an active member in the Optical Women’s Association, chaired a local chapter of the Distinguished Young Women program, and served on several community outreach program advisory boards. She enjoys all water sports and volunteering.


Sam Nasser, Senior Vice President, AcuityLogic

Sam Nasser, founder of AcuityLogic, has more than 25 years in optical software development and optical operations experience. Sam was most recently the chief information officer at DOC Optics in Detroit, Michigan, where he designed, developed and implemented the entire point-of-sale solution, featuring insurance billing, inventory control, wholesale billing, lab management, and accounting systems. He has in-depth knowledge of optical business operations from all perspectives, including back office, front desk, dispensary, lab operations, and financial management and controls. Sam enjoys golf, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
