We remove the guesswork.
Sometimes change can be a hassle, especially when it involves government regulations and multiple moving parts. But when it results in increased accuracy and efficiency, change is a good thing.
We know it's difficult—if not downright impossible—to keep track of regulatory updates on top of day-to-day tasks. That’s why we keep your practice up to date on ICD-10 codes, taking the guesswork out of billing and giving you more time back in your day.
What are ICD-10 Codes?
Among other annual updates, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reevaluate ICD-10 diagnostic codes, which are used in healthcare for billing and statistics. When codes are kept up to date—whether by editing descriptions, adding new ones, or retiring others—it provides higher quality data for those interpreting said codes. According to the CDC, this information is often useful for surveilling public health conditions like diseases and injuries.
Some years have several optometric ICD-10 code updates. In other years, the updates are minimal. Regardless of what changes, we always have the latest optometric ICD-10 codes available in our Regulatory Resource Center and in our software, so you can find the information that’s relevant to your practice.
