Ethan has been part of Eyefinity for more than 20 years. He has seen the platform grow from an idea into a solution that practices rely on every day, and he continues to play a key role in shaping what comes next. 

Ethan and his team spent time talking with current customers about the future of the product and helped identify what mattered most to practices: seamless connections across systems and a better experience for both staff and patients. 

“That’s really what drives our work,” Ethan says. “How do we fit naturally into the way practices already operate? And how do we raise the bar for the experience without adding complexity?” 

Today, Ethan focuses on improving how Encompass supports everyday workflows, from practical ease‑of‑use updates to more advanced capabilities in development. His past work includes improvements like the Name Field Expansion, which helps practices maintain accurate patient records, as well as ongoing performance and speed enhancements across the platform. He also contributes to work underway on smarter, AI‑supported guidance within Encompass, aimed at helping teams work more confidently while keeping workflows simple. 

What Ethan values most, though, is the collaboration behind the scenes. 

“There’s an incredible amount of teamwork that goes into every improvement,” he says. “So many voices contribute ideas, feedback, and expertise. That collaboration is what makes the platform stronger.”
