Growing up in Granite Bay, California, Sarah Ouellet always had an eye for optometry. Early on, she was inspired by an unlikely source: her high school sweetheart’s father—an Optometrist who owned a five-location practice in the area.  

Like many of her west coast colleagues, Sarah is an alum of California State University, Sacramento, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. Although she ultimately decided to skip optometry school, Sarah remained committed to the eye care industry, choosing to spend eight years at an optometry practice before joining Eyefinity.  

Having been a former customer of OfficeMate, Sarah had unique insight into the product which proved to be useful when she became the Product Owner. Her practical experience in the field proved to be valuable in developing her career at Eyefinity.  

“Before I left, I wore many hats: Office Administrator, Billing Manager, Dispensary Manager, Optician, and Technician.” 

Now as a Software Solutions Product Manager, Sarah focuses on supporting managed vision care and practice eligibility services.  

“At Eyefinity, I really enjoy the comradery and collaboration, particularly in our discovery process within the Product team. Getting to work directly with customers to build out solutions and solve problems, digging into the weeds to figure it out--I love all of that!” 

Her proudest moment (so far!) has been aiding the launch and sustained growth of Eyefinity Encompass™.  

“We don’t see Doctors as customers that purchase the product; they're part of the success of the company. What we have built and will continue to build, brings value and benefit to them as a user.” 

In her downtime, Sarah indulges in her love of baking and exploring the great outdoors with her husband and two dogs, Louis and Izzy.
